I am fascinated by the way you drawing the characters outlines! especially the thick-to-thin style I'm talking about! you know it's hard to do that with just HB pencils and papers, do you use any certain pencil to do that?
I only started to draw THIS month and kinda moving fast foreward with skills, we're fast learners :ffplz:
Just a mechanical pencil with some dark 2HB lead, that's aaaall I use. when I've drawn my idea, the lineart is usually thin and light, then I go over it all once more with the same pencil and start making parts/outlines thicker or darker, hope this helps answer your qestion
I've drawn aimlessly most of my life, I've only started taking it actually serious in the past 3-4 months. I'm not undergoing any art career or even in college, I'm just a smuck who draws to kill boredom.
Closest without going over, 23 actually. Like I said, I've just been doodling in school and such most of my life, only to realize I had no talent for art after all that time. So I decided to bone up; buying art books, studying anything I can get my hands on, tons of practice everyday. I've just been doing my homework is all~
But dude, you learned so much in so little time. It took me years to get to the paultry level i'm at. I feel retarded. How did you know what to tackle to get your characters right? That shit NEVER came to me like that.
Well, the first thing I did when you first commented here was check you out. and I'm wondering how someone as skilled and talented as you is saying such nice things about my work~
For reals, YOU'RE the kind of artist I get envious of and wish I had an inch of the abilities you got. I'd have to ask the same of you, if you've been through some sort of art school or special teaching, and if you're actually some kind of animator or cartoonist. (I see you've got your own comic series, that certainly answers some questions)
But yeah, the style of your characters, and the expression you can put behind them, all of it - it's the kind of thing I'd love to achieve someday in my art just a tad even, makes me wonder how folks like you have learned so well~
And in all honesty, to answer your question on me and characters, I have no idea. I've had no clue about anything I've done this entire time, I'm kinda just learning as I go (and making shit up along the way )
"and next on the catwalk we have the Joker you'll go crazy over this pinstripe suit of his own design. the clashing lines and vibrant emerald and royal purple color scheme absolutely ensures all eyes will be drawn to this main attraction!"
